A guide to the most important content on The Ethical Entrepreneur

Since 2015, I’ve written nearly 200 articles on investing, economics and business. In 2019, my new content was almost exclusively investing related and so I took the decision to start an ‘index’ of useful articles for new readers to flick through to review the basic concepts covered over the last few years.

I’ll keep expanding this section as the site grows but the great thing about websites is that as it becomes unwieldy, I can simply split the content out further to improve indexing.

My Investment Philosophy;

These five articles are an introduction to my strategy and the overarching philosophy that help me to define my actions in different market conditions.

  1. My Investment Strategy
  2. The Psychology of Investing
  3. Why I’m an Activist Investor
  4. Investing for Income
  5. Why I care so much about dividends

Understanding Company Fundamentals

These articles are a soft introduction in how I analyse a company’s financial performance. They’re not intended as a comprehensive ‘financial analysis’ toolkit; more as an overview of the basic concepts.

  1. Turnover
  2. Profitability
  3. Leverage
  4. The Balance Sheet

Portfolio Management

These articles are an overview of how I manage my portfolio; buying, selling and risk management. Again, these aren’t a comprehensive guide to portfolio management but I’m intending to expand this series quite heavily in the first half of 2020.

  1. Basic Criteria for Building a Portfolio
  2. Building a Low Cost Portfolio
  3. When to Sell – Part 1
  4. When to Sell – Part 2
  5. When to Sell – Part 3

If you work your way through these articles and are still enjoying what you’re reading then I can recommend the Reader’s Questions section of the blog. These are based on emails and conversations I have with readers and fellow investors.
